PALMYRA PRIMARY LAPATHON
Wednesday 23rd October
Pre-Primary – Year 2 1:30 – 2:00 & Year 3 – Year 6 2:05 – 2:50
All students from Pre-Primary to Year 6 will be participating in this fun event. Students will raise money by asking family & friends to sponsor them to run as many laps of the oval as they can in the allocated time.
Money raised from this event will go towards the shade cloth over our new Funky Monkey bars.
Sponsors can either:
• Sponsor your child an amount of money per lap and give the money following the race
OR
• Sponsor a total amount that can be collected and handed to the school office or BPAY on the day of the race or by MONDAY 28TH OCTOBER 2024. (preferred option)
PRIZES! – THERE WILL BE PRIZES AWARDED TO ALL YEAR GROUPS FOR THE MOST LAPS COMPLETED AND THE BEST EFFORT.
THE MOST MONEY RAISED BY A CLASS GETS A SCHOOL PRIVILEGE OF AN EXTRA LONG RECESS. SO GET OUT THERE AND GET SPONSORED…. TOTAL PRIZE POOL $700! MAJOR PRIZES FOR FLIP OUT, AND SPORTING VOUCHERS.
All students will receive an icy pole at the end of the race as a thank you from the school.
This is a great way for students to support the school whilst getting fit at the same time. Parents and family members are welcome to come and watch the event.
