To apply for a manned children's crossing across Carrington Street, we need to show that we have 20 students crossing in the 1 hour before and after school in our "independent" count.

To do this, we need to do at least one morning count and one afternoon count to include in the application.

On Tuesday 29th July, we will sit at Oushk from 7.45-8.50am and count the cars and students crossing at Tamar St intersection to make the "morning count".

And then on Thursday 7th August, we will sit in the same corner for the afternoon from 3-4pm for the "afternoon count".

If we can get the 20 students (parents and other pedestrians don't count in the Crossing Board consideration) at each of these counts, then we can submit our application. If not, we will have to try again until we do.

So.... if you live on the west of Carrington St (Fremantle Side), can you please mobilise your children and consider walking any other local Palmyra students with you on these 2 days.

The wayfinding signs on the road should also be on the footpaths by then, so we can make the kids aware of that too.
